Walter Buchanan
Walter Buchanan passed away early Sunday morning. He had been in failing health for several months, but two weeks ago he suffered from a shock and failed rapidly till the end came. He was born in Scotland 83 years ago and came to this country when very young. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Geo A. Johnson of Piermont, N.H., two sons and four daughters, Mrs. E S Cashis of Rutland, VT., Mrs. John M. Dodge of Haverhill, Mass., Mrs Wm C. White of Concord, Ansel L. Buchanan of Winchester, Elmer E. Buchanan and Mrs Herman W. Matthews of this town. He was one of two surviving charter members of Antrim Grange.
The funeral was held from the Lower Village chapel Tuesday at 1 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Cook Officiating. Burial in Antrim. Antrim Grange performed the committal service at the grave.
