She was born in Newbury, Vt., the daughter of Walter and Susan (Tuttle) Buchanan, and had made her home in this town for the past 27 years. Survivors are three sons, Elton R and Fred H. of this town and Merton D. Matthews of South Elliot Me., also two sisters, Mrs. Lela Dodge of Haverhill, Mass, and Mrs. Eva Corliss of Piermont, two brothers, Ansel Buchanan of Winchester, N.H., and Elmer E. Buchanan of Hillsboro and three granchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at the Lower Village on Sunday, March 26, at 2:30.
